Dear chess friends,
I would like to invite you to take part in the 2nd Weekend Masterclass on 22-23 January, 2022, organised by the English Junior Coaches and Organisers Association, as part of our programme of training events and tournaments.
The Weekend Masterclass, delivered on Zoom, is open to junior and adult players alike, and includes a total of 8 hours of expert tuition by FIDE Trainers IM Andrew Martin, IM Lorin D’Costa and myself, as well as a 6-round Ruy Lopez Training Tournament on Lichess.org
Topics covered range from ‘The Spanish Torture: Why GMs play the Ruy Lopez’, ‘Checkmating Patterns’ and ‘Attacking the Castled King’ to ‘Improve Your Endgame Play’, ‘Practical Tournament Tips’ and ‘Study the Classics: Anatoly Karpov.’
Students are welcome to participate on both days, or on Saturday or Sunday only, as they wish.
